Peter McCollaum — President, African Contract Solutions
Peter McCollaum is a co-founder, and President of African Contract Solutions (DBA- Global Strategies Global Solutions (GSGS)) and lives in Dakar, Senegal where he manages the day-to-day operations of the company. He is responsible for coordinating logistical and life support services to US Embassies in support of USG contracts across the northern half of the African continent and for business development in the civilian sector. From 1987 to 2007 Mr. McCollaum was the sole proprietor of a light manufacturing company in the United States.
Mr. McCollaum was also a Special Forces enlisted man then an officer in the US Army National Guard and Reserve. Mr. McCollaum was mobilized after 9/11 and spent the next nine years serving in various Special Forces Groups to include a three-year and a half-year tour as the Special Operations Advisor to the Commander of NATO Joint Forces Command-Naples, Italy, with a focus on the Balkans and Africa.
After retiring as a Lt Col and for the following five years, Mr. McCollaum worked as a civilian for US Army Africa as the North African Security Cooperation Branch Chief. For two and a half years Mr. McCollaum worked as the US Special Advisor to the Italian General Commanding the Center of Excellence for Stability Police Units (CoESPU) in Vicenza, Italy. This was a US Department of State partnership with the Italians in an UN-based school where police were trained in preparation for UN Police Peacekeeping missions in Africa.
Mr. McCollaum served as an embedded advisor to the Senegalese National Police and Gendarmerie of Senegal where he successfully advised them on creating a standby rapid deployment force.
Mr. McCollaum lives in Dakar, Senegal with his family. He has a degree in International Relations from Brigham Young University. Mr. McCollaum speaks and reads English, Italian, Portuguese, French, and some Spanish.
Ronald M. Hansen — Vice President, African Contract Solutions
Ron has spent the last 35 year working with major organizations in various industries across the United States in a variety of financial, operation and consulting roles.
Ron has served as a senior executive for several organizations including Alta Health Strategies, Inc. (First Health), Managed Care Administrators, Inc. (MCA), and Admar Corporation, Third Party Claims Management, Inc. (TPCM) and Select Onsite Services, Inc. (SOS). Ron has been a featured speaker for several groups and organizations on operational efficiency. His business success has been reported by various industry publications, including The WALL STREET JOURNAL and others.
Ron is a co-founder of African Contract Solutions (DBA-Global Strategies Global Solutions), a specialty defense industry contractor. GSGS was formed in Texas in 2014. Under his leadership GSGS has grown to a worldwide organization, doing business in over 10 countries.
In 2013 Mr. Hansen also co-founded Select Onsite Services, Inc., a Texas based oil field services support business. The company provides services to multiple locations (many remote) for major companies including Halliburton, Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, Basic Energy and more. Ron led this organization through the downturn in oil prices when many competitors went bankrupt by maintaining high quality services levels and adhering to strict cost containment measures.
Mr. Hansen holds a Finance degree from the Marriott School of Management.
